I am frustrated with the church. Is that a bad thing to say? Well, I am. I am tired of some man or woman at the pulpit telling me how I am supposed to interprut my reading of scriptures or teaching me rules and regulations that were not in the bible in the first place, but created by man. Traditions and works that they say will help us get to heaven, when in reality God says in teh scriptures that to reach Him we must follow His example.
“But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”
What did he do? He loved. He recognized each one of us and died for the purpose so we could rise. He did this because he loved us so much that laid his life for us. We are important to him, loved by him so much he would provide for us in every aspect of our lives if we would just allow it.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Is anyone else tired of the hypocracy of what is going on? Are you tired of not only what is happening in society against christians, but what we as christians do to themselves by fighting amongst ourselves on what is the right way to celebrate our faith. Can’t we just stop for a minute and see what God really wants from us? Has anyone thought of Him?
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22: 37-40
